The sequel to the popular Tamil action-drama "Singam" starring Indian actor Suriya, is set to release on December 22, 2016. Suriya is set to reprise his role as Police Commissioner Bhuvaneshwaran in Singam 2. The film's Tamil Nadu theatrical rights were sold for 9.5 crore rupees with an additional 3 crore rupees being spent on promotional activities. The music rights of the film have been acquired by Sony Music India. Singam 2 also stars Anushka Shetty in a pivotal role and veteran actor Suman who played Inspector Jadhav in the first part of this series will be reprising his role in this film too.
